ABSTRACT: This study explores the effectiveness of e-learning platforms in technical education, focusing on their impact on student engagement and learning outcomes. The objectives were to (1) assess the current use of e-learning platforms in technical education, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of these platforms in enhancing learning outcomes, and (3) propose strategies to improve the integration of e-learning in technical education. A survey design was employed to collect data from students, educators, and administrators to understand the utilization and impact of e-learning. The sample size comprised 250 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure relevant experience with e-learning. The case study focused on Anambra State, Nigeria, known for its commitment to educational innovation. Findings revealed that e-learning platforms significantly improved student engagement and learning outcomes by providing flexible and interactive learning opportunities. However, challenges such as limited access to technology and insufficient training for educators were noted. Recommendations included increasing investment in e-learning infrastructure, providing professional development for educators on e-learning technologies, and developing blended learning models that combine online and face-to-face instruction to maximize the benefits of e-learning in technical education.
